Feedback Systems: Input-output Properties deals with the basic input-output properties of feedback systems. Emphasis is placed on multiinput-multioutput feedback systems made of distributed subsystems, particularly continuous-time systems. Topics range from memoryless nonlinearities to linear systems, the small gain theorem, and passivity. This paper presents a generalization of the nonlinear small-gain theorem for large-scale complex systems consisting of multiple input-to-output stable systems. It includes as a special case the previous nonlinear small-gain theorems with two interconnected systems, and recent small-gain theorems for networks of input-to-state stable subsystems.
8 A Systems Approach 1. INTRODUCTION. The food system is a complex system with a variety of actors, feedback and interdependence mechanisms, heterogeneity, and spatial and dynamic complexity (IOM and NRC, ).The system is composed of large-scale interconnected systems of systems that include ecosystems (both natural and agricultural), climate, food processing and distribution network . In this paper, stability of a class of reaction diffusion systems is studied. Conditions on global asymptotic stability of the homogeneous equilibrium are derived based on the diagonal stability of a dissipativity matrix. This work extends previous result on global asymptotic stability from cyclic systems to general systems with interconnected by: 1.
1. Introduction Recently, there have been a number of research works on stability analysis and design for a class of large-scale interconnected systems, such as electrical networks, nuclear reactors, and hydraulic systems, etc. Due to the large-scale system with interconnected terms, the decentralized controller is preferred to be adopted as a control methodology such that design procedures. This book is intended to be a fairly comprehensive treatment of large-scale interconnected systems from an input-output viewpoint. Prior to treating the question of stability (and instability), we study both the decomposition posedness of such systems. It is not necessary and the well-for the reader.

Large-scale systems (LSS) are encountered frequently in engineering practice, biology systems, cyber-physical systems, and so on. Researches on LSS are extensively regarded to be started around s. Various research articles and monographs have been published on the analysis and synthesis of an LSS [18,19].

Loosely speaking (we will give a more precise definition later), a large-scale (interconnected) system is one that is composed of numerous subunits which are dynamically coupled and/or exchanging information with each other.

developments. By "input-output analysis" I mean the latter two of these three types of input-output work, and it is to them that this paper is devoted. It seems to me that the most fruitful areas to concentrate on for a review of input-output analysis are these: the theoretical position of input-output, the analytical implications of the data.tions” of large-scale interconnected systems , , , one can easily come to the following conclusion.
